How to Clean Block Paving
Block paving can look as good as new after a proper clean. The trick is to do it without washing out the joints.

Sweep first
Remove loose dirt, leaves and weeds so you are not driving them into the joints.
Treat moss and algae
Apply a suitable patio cleaner or biocide and leave it to work. This helps lift the growth before washing.
Pressure wash carefully
Keep the nozzle moving and a fair distance from the surface. Holding it too close can etch the blocks and blast out the sand.
Re-sand the joints
Once dry, brush kiln-dried jointing sand or a polymeric sand into the joints so the blocks lock together again.
